Our Story

In 2016 John and I thru-hiked the Appalachian Trail, and in doing so, hiked right by our future home and farm.

In 2017, we purchased an old farmhouse and a few acres of hayfield- right on the Appalachian Trail. There was a house, a moderate-sized field, and running between the house and the field was a happy brook. The house and land were a dream come true!

After months of renovation (old farmhouses are a labor of love) we moved in with our 6 month old, Henry. It was June and the ancient lilacs were heavy with blooms. We immediately fell even more in love with our little corner of the world.

We planted a couple of apple trees, a dozen raspberry canes and handfuls of daffodils. John put in a garden (in the exact place where our beloved neighbor, who grew up in our house, recalls her childhood garden being.) We grew tomatoes, basil, cabbage, brussel sprouts and giant sunflowers It was easy to decide on a whim to head out out for a hike on the AT. And we played down by the brook for hours with Henry - wading, tossing rocks or digging in the sand. We had finally found home.

Make it

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world.
